1.   Curriculum Development

The KED, together with some partners, produces, distributes and provides trainings on KED’s curriculum with emphases on drawing out individual students’ talents, preparing and stimulating interaction with the surrounding environment and overall learning outcomes.

2.   Standards & Creativity

KED standards are guideposts for our schools. These standards become the basis for the way teachers are trained, what they teach and how students are tested. At the same time we encourage innovation among our staff and teachers, and inspire creativity in our students.

3.   Textbooks & Materials

We deliver complementary tools and livelihood provisions such as medicine, mosquito nets, notebooks, pens and sports equipment.

4.   Monitoring & Evaluation

Monitoring and evaluating our projects in a participatory manner serves to drive accountability and transparency, built trust across diverse stakeholders and provide lessons learned for future projects. In particular we give emphasis to incorporating local knowledge and preferences, improving program outcomes, triangulating findings, and institutionalizing local engagement.

  1. I would like to know if I can get some Karen text books from KECD? A Karen teacher from Myanmar would like to get some books to teach children about Karen people history, culture and so on.
